Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess medical assistant certification and excellent interpersonal and communication skills. They will work closely with patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare team members to provide high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer therapeutic injections in a clinic setting, complete relevant documentation, and demonstrate proper technique, efficiency, and customer sensitivity.
  • Complete vital signs, height, weight, and drug screens if indicated, including submitting billing documentation.
  • Maintain linkage with local pharmacies to facilitate safe and timely refill of client prescriptions and prior authorizations with insurance companies.
  • Work with Centerstone staff to ensure continuity of care for consumers.
  • Triage medication and care-related calls from clients, families, stakeholders, etc., and coordinate necessary physician involvement.
  • Stock offices with proper medical consents or forms as needed and empty shredding bins.

Work Environment/Physical Demands:

This job operates in a professional office environment. The successful candidate will work in well-lighted areas, sit, stand, bend, lift, and move intermittently during working hours. They will be involved with patients, family members, personnel, visitors, etc., under all conditions/circumstances and must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday.
