Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) at Jewish Hospital. As a member of our team, you will provide direct nursing care to patients who have undergone cardiac, vascular, and thoracic surgical procedures.
About the UnitOur 17-bed CVICU/OHRR is a state-of-the-art unit that serves patients who require complex care, including those with mechanical circulatory support devices and ECMO. Our team of experienced nurses and healthcare professionals work together to provide exceptional patient care and support.
About Jewish HospitalJewish Hospital is a leading tertiary referral center that is renowned for its specialized heart care procedures, including ventricular assist devices (VAD) and transcatheter aortic valve replacement. Our hospital is affiliated with the University of Louisville School of Medicine and is committed to providing patients with access to the most advanced care available.
Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care to patients in the CVICU/OHRR
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Monitor patients' vital signs and respond to changes in their condition
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes
- Licensed or eligible for license in Kentucky
- Basic Life Support (BLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) may be required for some units
- Associates's degree from accredited college or University
