About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Refrigeration Service Technician to join our team at CoolSys. As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for providing top-notch service and repair of refrigeration, heating, and ventilation equipment to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide service and repair of refrigeration, heating, and ventilation equipment, including compressors, water pumps, air handlers, and electrical and mechanical control devices.
  • Perform preventative maintenance activities, diagnosing equipment malfunctions and operating deficiencies to ensure quality work performance.
  • Test malfunctioning systems and components using electrical and mechanical skills.
  • Maintain accurate records of work history and process job tickets and work orders efficiently.
  • Support the team by picking up, delivering, and installing equipment, as well as performing minor construction and remodeling projects.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; certification from an accredited vocational-technical or trade school a plus.
  • Minimum 5+ years of commercial refrigeration experience required; experience working on refrigeration equipment in convenience stores or supermarkets a strong plus.
  • Familiarity with single systems and rack systems, as well as previous work on display cases and walk-in boxes, highly desirable.
  • Good driving record and ability to work independently essential.
  • Emergency on-call availability a basic requirement.
  • Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. with no assistance and sit/stand for several hours at a time.
