Salary: $19 - $24

Schedule: 12-hour Mill Shift

Key Responsibilities

The Sheeter Operator is responsible for executing the following tasks while ensuring safety and efficiency:

  • Operate the Marquip sheeter at optimal speeds to meet production goals.
  • Manage machine controls, including the conveyor system, job changeovers, and cutting knife adjustments.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards for all produced items.
  • Perform machine setup and troubleshooting to resolve production challenges.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance on machinery.
  • Provide mentorship and training to team members.
  • Acquire knowledge of printing fundamentals.
  • Understand the basics of sheeter operation.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Participate in training programs for professional growth.
  • Assist with Roll Tender duties as necessary, including:
    • Setting up and operating the roll stand.
    • Organizing and maintaining roll stock for presses.
    • Keeping accurate records of board allocation.
    • Ensuring a tidy work environment.

Qualifications

  • Ability to operate a clamp truck and forklift.
  • Capability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to handle rolls weighing up to 3000 lbs.
  • Capacity for repetitive tasks.
  • Willingness to work 12-hour shifts.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
