Job Summary

Team Fishel is seeking a skilled Equipment Operator to join our Chesterfield, VA area operation. As an Equipment Operator, you will assist the Foreman in completing projects safely, on-time, and within customer specifications for quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate various utility construction equipment, including backhoes, directional drills, trenchers, skid-steer loaders, cranes, digger derricks, bucket trucks, excavators, and crane trucks.
  • Deliver and pick up materials, reels of cable, steel plates, service tools, and equipment using Company vehicles.
  • Work in the field with crews installing manholes, vaults, and completing other work as needed.
  • Meet all DOT requirements, including physical and drug testing.
  • Communicate effectively with Teammates and follow directions.
  • Have a thorough working knowledge of utility construction and installation.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience operating utility construction equipment in a safe and productive manner.
  • Candidates holding a valid CDL-A are strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with DOT's Enforcement and Compliance regulations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
  • Previous experience in utility construction and bilingual skills are highly desirable.
