SRE Leadership Position

We are seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) leader to join our team at NetApp. This leadership role will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of high-availability systems, ensuring their reliability, performance, and efficiency.

About the Job

  • This position requires 12 years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or similar roles, with at least 5 years in a lead and/or architect position.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience mentoring geographically dispersed teams and recommending technology approaches, team structures, and skill sets.
  • We are looking for someone with proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Go, or Java, and extensive experience with cloud services and container orchestration tools.
  • This role also involves delivering architectural initiatives that drive efficiency improvements in line with business strategy and exceptional knowledge of observability tools.
  • The compensation package includes a salary range of $192,330 - $270,380 USD, depending on location, qualifications, experience, and education, as well as comprehensive benefits and a volunteer time off program.

What You'll Do

  • You will lead and mentor a team of SREs, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
  • You will collaborate with product and engineering teams to design and implement scalable solutions.
  • You will develop and maintain a reliable monitoring and alerting system to detect and mitigate issues proactively.
  • You will handle incidents to reduce TTM and TTR consistently.
  • You will participate and lead post-mortem analyses to prevent future outages.
  • You will manage priorities, projects, and the overall workflow of the SRE team.
  • You will ensure compliance with security best practices and company policies.
  • You will stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies to improve system reliability and performance continuously.
