GENERAL FUNCTION

This role is essential in our organization, ensuring that all patients receive the highest standard of optometric care through comprehensive clinical protocols while optimizing outcomes. You will work collaboratively with teams focused on enhancing the patient experience in our optical dispensary. This position is responsible for achieving Key Performance Indicators and Standards of Care, serving as a leading representative of our practice both internally and externally, driven by a passion for excellence.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Ensure operational excellence and achieve results in collaboration with the managing doctor and store team.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to surpassing performance metrics through strong management of Key Performance Indicators and accountability.
  • Uphold the Standard of Care as established by the practice owner.
  • Establish the practice as the premier optical provider in the community.
  • Prioritize patient care and deliver outstanding optometric services.
  • Address all optical lifestyle needs of patients.
  • Provide eyewear recommendations tailored to individual patient requirements.
  • Clearly explain each step of the eye examination process.
  • Utilize available tools and visual aids to ensure patients understand their vision, eye health, and overall well-being.
  • Effectively communicate the importance of annual eye examinations to patients.
  • Conduct all services in accordance with established protocols and accepted standards of care.
  • Ensure accurate diagnoses and appropriate recommendations for all patients.
  • Foster a positive relationship between the doctor and patients.
  • Maintain State Licensure in good standing and practice within the full scope of that license, fulfilling Continuing Education requirements.
  • Provide effective training and support to team members using available programs.
  • Contribute to a positive workplace culture.
  • Encourage team member decision-making at the level closest to the patient.
  • Maximize partnerships through leadership and active participation.
  • Take pride in maintaining the appearance of the office.
  • Ensure a safe working environment for all staff and patients.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Doctor of Optometry
  • Commitment to delivering quality patient care

Compensation is determined by various factors, including experience, qualifications, and local wage requirements.
