Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Hypertension Nephrology Associates, PC. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients with kidney disease and hypertension.

About the Role:

  • You will be responsible for preparing patients for office visits, obtaining vitals, medical and medication history, and ensuring that all necessary information is up-to-date.
  • You will also assist with diagnostic scheduling, including kidney ultrasounds and other procedures.
  • Additionally, you will obtain prior authorizations for scheduled procedures and medications, and maintain accurate patient charts.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • You must have a Medical Assistant Certificate and a valid Michigan driver's license.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as you will work closely with patients, doctors, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Basic computer skills are required, and you should be able to learn and adapt to new systems quickly.

Benefits and Compensation:

  • We offer a competitive salary of approximately $40,000 per year, based on experience.
  • Our benefits package includes full health insurance, paid time off, and a 401(k) plan.
  • We also offer a birthday bonus and holiday bonuses, as well as 9 paid holidays per year.
  • Travel pay is also available for travel to satellite offices.

Schedule and Work Environment:

  • The typical schedule is Monday through Friday, 8-hour shifts, with occasional evening or weekend hours.
  • You will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a diverse team of healthcare professionals.
