Experience:
We are seeking a highly skilled Prior Authorization Specialist to join our team at Medix. The ideal candidate will have 1+ years of experience working in healthcare operations, particularly in benefits verification, prior authorization, medical billing or coding.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process prior authorizations for commercial, Medicaid, and Medicare insurances
- Verify patient information and medical records
- Communicate with healthcare providers and insurance companies
- Manage and maintain accurate records
Requirements:
- 1+ years of experience in healthcare operations
- Understanding of medical terminology and insurance processes
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills and proficiency in web-based tools and systems
Work Schedule:
We offer a flexible work schedule, Monday through Friday, with hours ranging from 9am to 5pm or 10am to 6pm.
Compensation:
The hourly rate for this position is $21-24 per hour.
