Medical Laboratory Specialist

This is a contract position with potential for permanent employment. The Associate Medical Technologist will work in a medical laboratory setting, performing routine tests for diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease.
Responsibilities:
Set up, adjust, and maintain medical laboratory equipment. Analyze test results to ensure conformity to specifications. Gather and record test data to issue reports. Consult with a pathologist to determine a final diagnosis when abnormal cells are found. Conduct chemical analyses of body fluids, such as blood and urine, using a microscope or automatic analyzer to detect abnormalities or diseases.
Requirements:
Associate's degree in medical technology or Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Biology, Chemistry, or physical science required. Must have verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and analyze data accurately.
