Job Title: JanitorJob Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team at Tlingit Haida Tribal Business Corporation. As a Janitor, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of our facilities, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our employees and customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clean and maintain office spaces, buildings, and facilities, including floors, walls, glass, and rubbish removal.
  • Perform periodic cleaning duties, such as sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and vacuuming.
  • Empty trash and recyclables, and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Service and supply restrooms, including cleaning and restocking amenities.
  • Clean and polish furniture and fixtures, and dust office equipment and machinery.
  • Mix cleaning solutions according to product specifications, and use equipment and supplies as needed.
  • Drive company vehicles to transport equipment and supplies across facilities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including moving equipment and supplies, and reporting maintenance needs to management.
Requirements:
  • 1 year of related janitorial experience preferred, but not required.
  • Courteous and positive attitude towards customers and colleagues.
  • Ability to follow basic operating instructions and safety protocols.
  • Demonstrated aptitude for completing assigned tasks and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Practical knowledge of worksite safety, occupational hazards, and standard safety practices.
  • Ability to stand for long periods, bend, and stoop frequently, and lift 25 pounds or more regularly.
  • Ability to maintain assigned work hours, and work under tight time constraints in a high-volume environment.
  • Highly motivated, flexible, organized, and detail-oriented individual with strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
