This position offers an excellent opportunity to join a dedicated team committed to delivering outstanding service. We are in search of qualified and enthusiastic individuals to take on the role of Kitchen Steward.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, adhering to all sanitation standards.
- Ensure floors are consistently clean and dry.
- Operate the dishwashing machine efficiently.
- Provide assistance to Cooks and Servers as needed.
- Proactively collect and dispose of waste throughout the facility.
- Keep waste bins and loading dock areas tidy and organized.
- Perform general cleaning tasks as directed, including sweeping and mopping.
- Sanitize pots, pans, utensils, and other kitchen equipment.
- Wash and sanitize dishes and related service ware according to established protocols.
- Clean large kitchen equipment as assigned, following set procedures.
- Adhere to Safety Data Sheet (SDS) guidelines for the safe use of chemicals in the workplace.
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is clean and functioning properly.
- Wash, wipe, sort, stack dishes, and manage the dishwasher effectively.
- Organize and store all cleaned items safely and systematically.
- Clean and sanitize workstations at the end of shifts.
- Utilize and maintain all equipment according to manufacturer and departmental guidelines.
- Report any maintenance or safety concerns to management.
- Assist with light food preparation tasks as directed, such as washing and peeling vegetables.
- Consistently maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills and Abilities:
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail; capable of multitasking.
Must be able to stand or walk for extended periods, bend, push, pull, and lift up to 30 lbs.
