Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Bartender to join our team at the Cambria Hotel Lake Placid - Lakeside Resort. As a key member of our culinary team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional guest service in our dining areas. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure guests have a memorable dining experience by providing prompt and courteous service. You will be part of a dedicated team committed to delivering outstanding hospitality and creating lasting memories for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare drink orders for guests according to specified recipes using measuring systems and garnishes.
  • Set up and maintain the cleanliness and condition of the bar, bar unit, tables, and other tools.
  • Familiarize yourself with menu items, daily specials, and promotions, and actively upsell additional items to enhance the guest experience and increase revenue.
  • Stay informed about the hotel's facilities, events, and services to provide guests with accurate information and assist with inquiries.
  • Address guest concerns promptly and professionally, striving to resolve issues to their satisfaction and escalating any unresolved matters to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Collaborate with other team members, including kitchen staff and management, to ensure smooth service flow and maintain a harmonious work environment.
  • Adhere to all food safety and health regulations, maintain cleanliness standards, and ensure the dining area is safe and hygienic.
  • Process guest payments accurately and securely, handling cash and credit transactions following hotel procedures.
  • Possibility to work banquets and to be creative with new drink recipes.
Qualifications and Requirements:

Previous experience as a server or in a related customer service position is preferred. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with guests and colleagues. A positive attitude and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment are essential. Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards is a plus. The ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as per the hotel's operational requirements, is also required. Physical stamina and the ability to stand, walk, and lift moderate weights for an extended period are necessary for this role.
