Urologist Job Description

The Department of Veteran Affairs is seeking a skilled Urologist to join our team at the Hampton, VA Medical Center. As a Urologist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and leading our urology department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of a general urology surgery program, including clinical, administrative, academic, and research components.
  • Coordinate care with VA's tertiary care facilities and VA-DoD sharing partners.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as documentation, dictation, and electronic entry of doctor's orders.
  • Provide surgical treatment for genitourinary injury and diseases.
  • Participate in performance improvement and quality assurance initiatives.
  • Provide leadership guidance and consultation to staff.
  • Supervise and teach house staff and other trainees.

Requirements:

  • Board certification in Urology.
  • Experience in urology surgery and patient care.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
