Job Summary
We are currently seeking an experienced Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) for a Weekend position in Harnett and Johnston Counties. The successful candidate will provide exceptional care and support to our patients and their families, working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless delivery of services.
Responsibilities
- Apply nursing theories and concepts to develop individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Document care and maintain accurate records, ensuring compliance with reimbursement guidelines.
- Coordinate physical care with family members, patients, physicians, and the hospice team.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and agency personnel at all levels.
- Attend and participate in IDT meetings and quality reviews as scheduled by the agency.
Requirements
- CURRENT RN licensure in the state of practice and two years of clinical nursing experience, with at least one year of hospice nursing experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of home health and hospice care program frameworks, functions, and organization.
- Principles and practice of nursing according to the nursing practice act, agency policies, procedures, and reimbursement guidelines.
- 12 hours of continuing education annually.
- CPR certification.
- Able to accept travel assignments based on agency need, as well as weekend, evening, and holiday call assignments.
Estimated Salary:$65,000 - $80,000 per annum
