Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Concrete Mixer Driver to join our team. As a Concrete Mixer Driver, you will be responsible for driving a truck equipped with an auxiliary concrete mixer to deliver concrete mix to job sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Comply with all Department of Transportation requirements, including licensing, vehicle inspection, and hours of service.
  • Inspect the truck at the start of each workday and complete the Driver Check-off Sheet to ensure all systems are functioning properly.
  • Drive the truck to the location for unloading in a safe manner and back the truck under the batching or loading hopper to receive concrete.
  • Climb the ladder on the mixer truck to view the load of concrete for consistency and amount, and inspect the drum for cleanliness.
  • Adjust the trailer axle pressure depending on the weight of the load and follow written and verbal instructions, including city street maps.
  • Maneuver the truck to deliver concrete to the point of delivery and assemble concrete chute(s) weighing 35-50 pounds each.
  • Clean the truck after loading and after delivery to prevent concrete from hardening in the mixer and on the truck.
  • Spray surfaces of the truck with an acid compound to clean the truck and drum in accordance with company standards.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • Must have a Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
  • Meet all eligibility requirements for driving a commercial motor vehicle in interstate commerce as defined by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
  • Must be 18 years in age or older.
  • Pass a pre-employment physical, drug screen, and criminal background check.
Work Environment

The Concrete Mixer Driver will work in a fast-paced environment with frequent exposure to outside weather conditions, moving mechanical parts, and moderate noise levels.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to read and interpret documents, and have the ability to work independently within a team environment.
