Job SummaryWe are looking for a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as a travel nurse in the ICU. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in acute care, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities- Provide high-quality patient care in the ICU, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients, including physical and emotional evaluations, and develop plans to address identified needs.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
- Document patient information, including medical history, treatment plans, and progress notes.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
- Current BLS certification from a Vibra-approved vendor.
- Additional certifications may be required by Vibra Travels (e.g., ACLS, PALS, NRP).
- 1 full year of RN experience; Diploma or Associate of Science Degree in Nursing required.
- Current, valid, and active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment required.
- Previous acute care experience is strongly preferred.
- Ability to project a professional image.
- Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
- Strong organizational, prioritizing, and analytical skills.
- Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
- Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions.
- Freedom from illegal use of and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.
