Dental Hygienist Position in Lincoln, NE

This position is for a dedicated Dental Hygienist to work with our team at Neighborhood Dental in Lincoln, NE.
Main Tasks:
- Conduct thorough oral examinations of patients' teeth and gums to identify any oral health issues.
- Clean and polish patients' teeth to remove plaque and calculus, focusing on areas that are difficult to reach during regular brushing.
- Take and develop dental X-rays to assist in diagnosing dental conditions and determine the appropriate treatment plans.
- Apply sealants, fluoride, and other preventive treatments to protect patients' teeth.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized recommendations for maintaining optimal dental health.
- Identify and educate patients on periodontal disease risk factors, and develop customized treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate patient records and treatment notes.
- Stay up-to-date with advances in dental hygiene techniques and tools through continuous education and professional development.
Necessary Skills and Experience:
- A valid license as a Dental Hygienist in Nebraska.
- Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program.
- A driven attitude to succeed.
- Excellent knowledge of dental hygiene procedures, tools, and equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to perform thorough oral examinations.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport with patients.
- The ability to work well within a team and collaborate with other dental professionals.
- A passion for providing exceptional patient care and promoting oral health.
