We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant/LPN to join our team at Franciscan Health. As a Medical Assistant/LPN, you will play a vital role in providing direct patient care, customer service, and administrative support to our patients and healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care, including rooming patients, taking vitals, and administering medications
- Deliver exceptional customer service to internal and external customers via phone, electronic, and in-person interactions
- Perform patient registration duties, including obtaining medical histories and conducting point-of-care testing
- Initiate and follow through on prior authorizations, referrals, and medication refills
- Enter patient information into electronic medical records systems and use systems to produce and conduct referrals, prior authorizations, medication research, and other related duties
- High School Diploma/GED required; prior Medical Assisting experience preferred
- Basic Life Support Program (BLS) certification required; Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) certification preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to maintain composure in difficult situations and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
