Job DescriptionThis role offers the opportunity to work with our esteemed physicians in diagnosing vascular conditions through high-quality ultrasound examinations. You will be responsible for obtaining patient information, preparing treatment areas, and providing expert guidance throughout the process.
The ideal candidate will possess solid knowledge of ultrasound technologies, have demonstrable experience in a similar role, and exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Obtain patients' personal information and medical history.
- Prepare treatment areas for ultrasound examinations and position patients on ultrasound tables.
- Explain ultrasound procedures to patients.
- Apply non-invasive ultrasound techniques to diagnose blood vein, artery, or vessel diseases or disorders.
- Maintain equipment and produce high-quality ultrasound images for doctors to interpret.
- Compare patients' most recent scans to previous results and assess diagnostic information.
- Provide summarized ultrasound findings to doctors in a timely manner.
- Handle hazardous substances and biological waste according to protocols, as well as sterilize equipment.
- Document processes and maintain patient records.
- Stay up-to-date on advancements in vascular technology.
To excel in this role, you should have:
- A Bachelor's degree in vascular technology.
- State-licensed Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification will be advantageous.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as a vascular technologist.
- Advanced knowledge of ultrasound equipment, procedures, and techniques.
- Proficiency in electronic medical record software.
- Ability to summarize findings and maintain patient records effectively.
- Capacity to stay current with best practices and advancements in vascular technology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a caring nature.
