Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Kennel Assistant to join our team at Heartland Veterinary Partners. The successful candidate will provide top-notch care to our patients, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our dynamic team and contribute to the delivery of exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Provide exceptional patient care: Ensure the health, safety, and comfort of patients in our care, including those requiring grooming and boarding services.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment: Clean and disinfect kennels, cages, runs, and stalls, and perform general cleaning tasks to prevent the spread of disease.
- Administer medication and provide special care: Assist with the administration of medications under the supervision of veterinarians or veterinary technicians, and provide special care to patients as needed.
- Communicate effectively: Convey important information to clients and team members, ensuring seamless communication and excellent client care.
- Collaborate with the team: Work closely with veterinarians, veterinary technicians, and other support staff to ensure the delivery of exceptional patient care.
- Previous veterinary experience: A minimum of [insert time period] years of experience in a veterinary setting, preferably in a kennel or animal care role.
- Client satisfaction skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on delivering exceptional client satisfaction.
