Job Summary:
St. John's Health is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality respiratory care to patients of all ages, from preemie to geriatric populations. Your expertise will include oxygen therapy, pulse oximetry, SVN, Incentive Spirometry, Chest PT, critical care, ventilator management, airway management, and cardiopulmonary resuscitation. You will also be responsible for obtaining and analyzing arterial and venous blood gas samples, cord and capillary gases, and maintaining analyzer equipment. Additionally, you will perform EKG procedures and deliver services according to the Scope of Service for the Cardiopulmonary Department.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Testing Procedures
• Perform basic treadmill stress tests, including Echo, Bruce, and Nuclear tests
• Set up and register Holter/Event monitors
• Set up and register overnight oximeters
2. Departmental Duties
• Record daily charges, including oxygen and pulse oximeter charges
• Maintain proper documentation and use electronic documentation systems
• Coordinate schedules with other techs in the department
3. Equipment Care/Maintenance
• Clean and assemble non-disposable equipment
• Clean and restock EKG machines
• Perform pre-operation checks on ventilators and record results
• Perform quality control measures and preventative maintenance on ABG instruments
• Check crash carts and O2 tanks throughout the hospital

Requirements:
• Associate degree required
• Current Wyoming LRCP and BLS certification required
• Current ACLS and NRP certification required within 6 months of hire
• Good communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills required
• At least two to five years of respiratory care practitioner experience preferred
• Basic computer skills preferred
