We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as the Vice President of Belonging at Novant Health. This key leadership role will play a pivotal part in advancing our organization's commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI).
Key Responsibilities- Provide strategic leadership for our Business Resource Groups (BRGs) and work closely with the Health Equity team to integrate inclusive principles into all aspects of our organization.
- Develop and implement effective strategies to address social determinants of health and promote a culture of belonging among our team members.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive DEI efforts and create a safe and inclusive environment for all.
- Lead the development and implementation of DEI programs and initiatives that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Monitor and analyze data to drive DEI outcomes and identify opportunities for improvement.
- 4-year Bachelor's Degree in HR, Psychology, Organizational Development, or a related field.
- 6+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, preferably in a multi-entity organization.
- 2 years of healthcare experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of DEI principles and their application within large, complex organizations.
- Experience leading teams through change and implementing DEI programs and initiatives.
- Expertise in using data analytics to drive DEI outcomes.
- Proven success in creating inclusive environments and promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Leadership skills, including the ability to create a climate where people want to do their best.
- Interpersonal effectiveness and communication skills, including the ability to relate well to all kinds of people.
- Business acumen, including knowledge of current practices, trends, and information affecting the organization.
- Strategic planning skills, including the ability to develop a long-term strategy for the business unit.
- Talent and organizational development skills, including the ability to attract, engage, and retain an effective leadership team.
