Job Title: Fitness Specialist at Healthtrax Fitness & Wellness
Are you enthusiastic about health and fitness? If you possess a degree in a related field along with a Personal Training Certification, this role could be an excellent fit for you. As a Fitness Specialist, you will have the opportunity to gain practical experience while working alongside seasoned professionals in the fitness sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare fitness equipment, adjusting settings and weights according to members' personalized workout regimens
- Assist members in recognizing when to increase resistance and ensure proper technique on exercise machines
- Uphold cleanliness and order in the fitness area, restock supplies, and carry out routine maintenance duties
- Provide outstanding customer service, aiding members in reaching their fitness objectives while emphasizing safety and correct form
Essential Skills:
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proven capacity to inspire individuals and guide them towards their fitness aspirations
- Commitment to maintaining the safety, upkeep, and appearance of fitness facilities
- Effectively promote center programs and services
- Deliver exceptional customer service both in person and via phone
- Work collaboratively with colleagues on various center initiatives and events
Position Requirements:
- Currently pursuing or holding a degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or a related discipline
- Possession of a nationally recognized Personal Trainer Certification or actively working towards one
- CPR, First Aid, AED Certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Availability for flexible hours and shifts to meet member needs
