Job Description Summary
Job Overview
The Operations Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring that production processes comply with industry regulations, guidelines, and internal policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct all operations safely and promptly report any safety issues to supervisory personnel.
- Complete necessary training for production tasks, including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), safety protocols, and company policies.
- Carry out daily production activities such as cylinder preparation, bake-out, blow-down, filling, and packaging of final products.
- Adhere to the operational schedule, maintaining communication with Functional Leads and Quality Assurance regarding any changes that may affect production and quality assurance.
- Oversee process staging, segregation, documentation, and safety compliance.
- Implement the weekly production schedule to meet operational demands.
- Ensure compliance with Production Batch Records and Procedures, reviewing them to confirm adherence to established guidelines and GMP standards. Acquire necessary components for manufacturing processes.
- Perform inventory assessments of components and materials to avoid interruptions in the production schedule. Review daily logbooks to ensure compliance with procedures.
- Execute cleaning and preventive maintenance protocols for equipment within the manufacturing area.
- Access Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and forms from the Master Control quality system.
- Support various functions within the production department as required, ensuring that all facilities are maintained according to established standards.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Technical background in Chemistry or Compressed Gases.
- Familiarity with CGMP standards.
- Strong leadership capabilities with a focus on results, along with the ability to train and motivate team members.
- Two years of experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Degree in Process Technology (PTEC).
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment regulated by FDA standards.
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP.
Reports directly to the Area Manufacturing Supervisor and collaborates closely with the Lead Operations Specialist within the designated functional area.
Work Environment:
The standard work schedule consists of four 10-hour shifts per week, subject to change. Most work is conducted indoors, with occasional outdoor tasks required.
