Job Summary

CSAA Insurance Group is seeking an Auto Claims Adjuster to handle non-injury claims, verify and explain coverages, conduct liability investigations, and advise customers of their liability decision.



Responsibilities


  • Verify and explain coverages to customers
  • Conduct liability investigations and advise customers of their liability decision
  • Set expectations about the claims process with members, obtain police reports, and witness statements
  • Reach out to other adjusters from varying insurance companies and keep members informed of the claim status
  • Investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and settle auto and property damage claims
  • Manage an inventory of claims and open claims, acquiring required information and loss details from insureds, claimants, and other involved parties
  • Document claim files, send appropriate correspondence, and communicate with customers and repair facilities
  • Ensure compliance with specific state regulations, policy provisions, and standard operating procedures
  • Arrange, handle, and pay repair, rental, towing, total losses, and negotiate storage
  • Apply knowledge of estimating standards ranging from minor to moderate complexity


Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with a High School Diploma/GED or 2 years of experience in a customer-facing virtual environment, leveraging internet, phone, and chat features. The ideal candidate will have the capability to train and perform the job in a remote setting, as required. A valid Adjusters license may be required by state.



Preferred Qualifications


  • 2+ years of customer service experience in a fast-paced setting
  • Empathy, adaptability, time management, and organization skills
  • Property and Casualty industry experience preferred
  • Flexibility to work any shift during operating hours, which may include evenings and/or weekends
  • Outstanding interpersonal and strong computer navigation abilities
  • Ability to handle several tasks simultaneously
  • Bilingual a plus
  • Shows respect for differences through excellent communication skills with people from diverse backgrounds
