Position: MACHINE OPERATOR - DAY SHIFT
Location: San Marcos
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 5am to 1:30pm or until completion
Compensation: $21 per hour to start (with potential increase after a successful 90-day introductory period based on performance)
Weekly Hours: 40+ hours; Full-Time
Ideal Candidate Profile: Experience in a food manufacturing setting with a background in heavy labor is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to food safety protocols while utilizing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Operate production machinery, ensuring safety, quality, and precision throughout the process.
- Conduct data entry, sampling, and necessary documentation.
- Troubleshoot machinery and resolve basic operational issues.
- Maintain cleanliness at the workstation and perform basic cleaning of machines post-production runs.
- Collaborate effectively with team members, providing training and assistance as directed.
- Communicate production-related issues efficiently with supervisors.
- Contribute to team success through consistent and reliable attendance.
- Additional tasks may be assigned based on departmental needs.
Required Skills: Basic proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing in English for documentation and data entry.
Physical Requirements: The role involves regular use of hands for handling and manipulation, as well as constant standing, walking, reaching, climbing, and stooping. The ability to push, pull, lift, and/or move up to 75 pounds is essential. Specific vision capabilities include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment: Employees may be exposed to dry, wet, and/or humid conditions, cold temperatures in refrigerated areas, moving mechanical parts, and moderate noise levels.
Additional Information: Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a post-offer background check, drug screening, functional assessment, and physical examination.
