We are seeking an Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse (RN) to enhance our outstanding team. This department specializes in the innovative use of imaging to facilitate minimally invasive procedures for diagnosing and treating a broad spectrum of medical conditions.
As an Interventional Radiology RN, your responsibilities will include providing direct patient care, monitoring health status, evaluating pain levels, administering medications, and maintaining accurate patient documentation.

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct nursing care in alignment with established protocols and procedures. Develop and oversee patient care plans.
- Monitor, document, and communicate patient conditions as necessary.
- Assess and document the effectiveness and timeliness of care interventions.
- Review and adjust care plans to achieve desired health outcomes.
- Act as the primary coordinator for interdisciplinary patient care.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments following approved nursing protocols.
- Execute physician and nursing orders accurately.
- Evaluate and coordinate discharge planning needs with the healthcare team.
- Identify educational needs of patients and their families, considering cultural and individual factors.
- Provide appropriate teaching and educational resources.
- Confirm patient and family understanding of educational materials.
- Pursue ongoing professional development through formal and informal education and clinical practice.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
- Completion of a Critical Care Course or validated on-the-job training for critical care environments.
- Perioperative training or validated on-the-job training for the operating room.
Certifications Required:
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required upon hire.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification from AHA required upon hire or within the first year of employment, depending on department requirements.
- Additional certifications may be required based on specific departmental needs.
Work Environment:
- Requires critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to work independently.
- Must be able to function effectively in a high-pressure environment.
Experience:
- Minimum of one year of current acute care RN experience in a hospital setting is required.
- Consideration will be given to licensed military RN experience.
Physical Demands:
- Requires full range of motion, including lifting and handling patients, manual dexterity, and coordination.
- Involves prolonged standing and walking.
- Must have corrected vision and hearing within normal ranges.
- Exposure to communicable diseases and/or bodily fluids may occur.
- Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently.
Personal Protective Equipment:
- Adherence to standard precautions and use of personal protective equipment as necessary.
