Experienced Fiber Splicer

We are seeking a skilled Fiber Splicer to join our team at Kanaan Communications, LLC. As a Fiber Splicer, you will be responsible for splicing and placing both copper and fiber cable, as well as troubleshooting both as required.

• Splice fiber optic cables in both aerial and underground telecom infrastructure.
• Independently build, prep, splice, tag and test new cables to meet client requirements.
• Locate and repair cables faults to maintain existing cable network without causing signal failure interruptions.
• Validate and test end-to-end service provisioning for the cable network.
• Confirm accurate cable terminations on cross connect, patch panels, hubs and routers.
• Review site surveys, condition discrepancy reports, design drawings, technical manuals for cable installation feasibility.

• To be 18 years of age or older.
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company.
• Valid driver's license.
• 2+ years of experience in fiber splicing required.
• Proficient in the use of all test and splicing equipment and must know how to use computer and all software used by the company concerning the completion of fiber optic projects.
• Knowledge of hot cuts and solid OTDR testing.
• Ribbon splicing knowledge preferred.
