Job Summary

The AOT/FSP Mental Health Professional III reports directly to the Program Director and is responsible for providing direct therapy services, case management, and consultation to clients with severe mental illness. This position requires collaboration with Fresno County Civil Courts and Fresno Department of Behavioral Health.

Responsibilities
  1. Provide individual, family, group treatment, case management, and consultation services to a caseload of clients with Severe Mental Illness (SMI) and dual diagnosis individuals.
  2. Document services to meet all clinical program, county, and state requirements, including Short-Doyle/Medi-Cal and dual coverage requirements.
  3. Maintain and submit all documentation and billing as it relates to client services.
  4. Meet with clinical mental health services staff for the purpose of reviewing client progress and ensuring quality treatment planning.
  5. Provide direction to Treatment Team to ensure they are familiar with and understand the client's Plan of Care.
  6. Write affidavits to submit to court for individuals who qualify for AOT.
  7. Complete evaluations, write assessments, and provide appropriate diagnosis for individuals to support their treatment.
  8. Schedule and provide regular AOT presentations to community partners to inform and strengthen community support for the AOT program.
  9. Attend court weekly or as needed to support participants' treatment.
  10. Attend AOT meetings weekly to support treatment for participants.
  11. Provide supervision as needed to other clinicians.
  12. Consistently meet program performance standards, including a service impact of 50%, sign and submit documentation goals, and attainment of 40 hours of job-related in-service training per year.
Requirements
  • Licensed Required: Currently licensed in the State of California as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC)
  • Licensed in the State of California as a Clinical Social Worker, Marriage Family Child Therapist with at least two (2) years' post-licensure experience, preferred
  • Registered with Board of Behavioral Science (BBS)
  • Ability to be certified in emergency first aid procedures and CPR
  • Knowledge of best practices regarding the treatment of clients with Severe Mental Illness (SMI) and Dual-Diagnosis individuals
  • Knowledge of record keeping procedures related to patient charts and Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system
  • Experience with co-occurring substance use disorders and treatment modalities
  • Communicate effectively in written and spoken English
  • Ability to operate within Electronic Health Records (EHR) system
  • Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, Office 365, Teams, Zoom, and other communication/meeting platforms
  • Possess a valid driver's license and have access to a dependable means of transportation that is properly insured and operated in accordance with all laws
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and TB test
