About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Line Cook to join our culinary team at Bluebird Hunter Lodge. As a Line Cook, you will play a critical role in ensuring the high-quality food we serve to our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook food to order, adhering to standard recipes and presentation guidelines.
  • Ensure that all mise en place is prepared for respective stations and forecast prep needs for assigned stations.
  • Guarantee that quality food is supplied by adhering to specified storage and waste control requirements for meats, vegetables, fruits, and dairy products.
  • Demonstrate professional and pleasant demeanor when interacting with visitors, vendors, and associates.
  • Assemble a system of food stations and fill them with everything they need for the shift.
  • Keep all workstations, counters, cooking equipment, and refrigerators clean and sanitary according to health and safety rules.
Requirements
  • Candidates must have completed high school or received similar certification such as a GED.
  • Candidates need a strong understanding of compliance with kitchen safety and food storage requirements.
  • Candidates must be hardworking, detail-oriented, and have a strong work ethic.
  • Previous experience as a line cook in a similar property, culinary school, or completion of apprenticeship program preferred.
  • Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, with guests and employees.
