As an Audiologist at Kaiser Permanente, you will play a critical role in providing diagnostic evaluations of the auditory and vestibular systems, assessing the neurological status of adults and children, and guiding the rehabilitation of hearing-impaired patients. You will work closely with patients, families, and healthcare teams to determine the best course of treatment and provide expert guidance on hearing health diagnostics and care.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct comprehensive diagnostic tests for pediatric and geriatric populations, vestibular function, and facial nerve integrity.
- Counsel patients and families on future therapeutic plans and provide education on hearing health.
- Provide mobile diagnostic services for inpatients, ICU, NICU, and operative patients.
- Evaluate and assess patients for hearing aids and provide referrals as needed.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive records in patients' medical charts and department-based files.
- Perform daily equipment biological calibrations, maintain equipment, and initiate requests for repair.
- Develop and lead patient education classes on hearing health and wellness.
- Collaborate with families to place hearing-impaired children in appropriate education settings.
- Serve as a resource for hearing and vestibular assessment and rehabilitation to physicians, paraprofessionals, and patients.
- Masters or Doctorate degree in Audiology required.
- Audiologist License (California) required.
- Basic Life Support required at hire.
- National Provider Identifier required at hire.
- One year of experience as an Audiologist preferred.
