Department Overview
The College of Humanities and Social Sciences, alongside the Sociology Department, is committed to academic excellence and making a positive impact both locally and globally. Position Summary
The Sociology Department is continuously accepting applications for a pool of qualified candidates interested in temporary teaching roles. These positions may arise throughout the academic year and summer sessions, with opportunities for part-time teaching and occasional full-time appointments.

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality instruction in sociology, engaging students through active learning methodologies.
- Maintain current knowledge in the field and uphold rigorous academic standards.
- Provide constructive feedback on student assignments and assessments.
- Hold regular office hours to support student learning and engagement.
- Participate in course evaluations as per departmental guidelines.

Required Qualifications:
  • Ph.D. or ABD in Sociology or a closely related social science discipline.
  • Demonstrated potential for effective teaching in sociology.
  • Commitment to fostering equitable and inclusive learning environments for students from diverse backgrounds.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Completed Ph.D. in Sociology or a related field.
  • Prior successful teaching experience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Evidence of scholarly activity.
Conditions of Employment:
All faculty members must adhere to immunization policies and provide proof of immunity as required.

Compensation:
Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
