Job Summary

The Moffitt Cancer Center is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician II to join our facilities team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities, equipment, and systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance and Repair: Perform general maintenance repairs and other duties as assigned, utilizing your skills and knowledge to ensure the efficient operation of our facilities and equipment.
  • Emergency Response: Respond to emergency situations, including disaster response, power and utility outages, and floods, to minimize disruptions to our operations.
  • Inspections and Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections and maintenance tasks to ensure our facilities and equipment are safe and functioning properly.
  • Blueprint Reading and Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and other technical documents to identify and address maintenance and repair needs.
  • Tool Management: Maintain and care for hand tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition and properly stored.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: Three years of maintenance experience required; two years of healthcare-specific maintenance experience may be considered in lieu of three years of overall experience.
  • Availability: Ability to work various shifts, including weekends, as needed.
  • Travel: Ability to travel between Moffitt Cancer Center facilities as required.
  • Driver's License: Valid driver's license required; must obtain a Florida driver's license within six months of employment.
