Weil-McLain is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team in Michigan City, Indiana. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing a variety of machinery and related components and accessories.
Key Responsibilities- Install, maintain, and repair machinery and equipment, including pipes, fittings, and fixtures.
- Perform electric arc and acetylene welding operations as required.
- Test, inspect, and lay out pipe lines, tubing, and fittings for plant maintenance and construction.
- Occasionally direct the work of helpers, mentor, and assist lower-scale maintenance technicians.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- Journeymen Card or equivalent amount of experience/education.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Proficient in reading and writing.
- Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled, foundry environment.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
- Previous foundry experience a plus.
- Competitive hourly pay rate of $31.37, plus additional yearly rate increase every June 1st.
- Plus $0.40 differential per hour worked for working 3rd shift or $0.35 differential per hour worked on 2nd shift.
- Paid holidays and paid time off, including 2 weeks by the 1st year and 3 weeks by year 5.
- Tuition and gym reimbursement.
- Medical, vision, and dental insurance after 60 days of service.
- 401(k) after 1 year of service.
