EEG Technologist

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced EEG Technologist to join our dynamic team at Brainworks Diagnostic Services, Inc. As an EEG Technologist, you will be responsible for the set-up and operation of EEG instruments, working collaboratively with other healthcare team members, physicians, and patients to achieve optimal outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform EEG procedures in accordance with established policies and procedures on patients of all ages, from neonates to geriatrics.
- Abstract relevant information from patient clinical records and obtain additional information as needed by questioning the patient.
- Maintain EEG paperwork, including compiling patient history, report generation, sending results, and filing reports when completed.
- Check EEG instruments prior to use to ensure proper calibration and calibrate and adjust equipment as necessary.
- Obtain standard recordings, recognize artifacts, and take appropriate steps to eliminate them.
- Monitor other physiological variables, such as electrocardiograms, electrooculograms, and respiration, as needed.
- Keep equipment in a clean operating condition, detect instrument malfunctions, and report need for repairs.
Requirements:
- High school graduate or GED equivalent.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Comfortable working independently.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- At least one year of EEG Technologist experience.
- Preferably registered in EEG.
