Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Phlebotomy Specialist to join our team in an outpatient setting. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for collecting and processing blood specimens from patients with varying ages and medical conditions.

About the Role

This is a full-time position working Monday through Friday, 7am-3:30pm or 7:30am-4pm. The ideal candidate will have phlebotomy certification through a nationally recognized organization or training from a phlebotomy school or medical institution, as well as one or more years of experience in a healthcare setting. You will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, prioritizing tasks, and maintaining accurate records.

Responsibilities

- Collect and process blood specimens from infant, adult, geriatric, and wheelchair-bound patients
- Provide appropriate post-phlebotomy patient care
- Review and record refrigerator temperature(s) and QC/QA records
- Use manual requisitions and labels specimens appropriately
- Label and process specimens according to established protocols and policies

Requirements

- High School diploma or equivalent
- Phlebotomy certification through a nationally recognized organization or training from a phlebotomy school or medical institution or one or more years of phlebotomy experience in a healthcare setting
