Job Overview


Shriners Hospitals for Children is recognized as a leading medical center specializing in pediatric burn care, orthopedics, spinal cord injuries, cleft lip and palate, and various pediatric subspecialties.

We are currently seeking a Pediatric Registered Nurse to join our Inpatient Unit.

Responsibilities

  • The Inpatient RN is accountable for coordinating nursing care, which includes direct patient care, educating patients and families, and managing transitions of care within a collaborative, family-focused environment.
  • The RN enhances professional nursing practice across various settings and throughout the continuum of care to address the needs of patients and their families.
  • This role will provide leadership by serving as both an informal and formal leader, mentor, and through initiatives aimed at quality improvement.
This is not an exhaustive list of responsibilities for this position. The incumbent may be required to undertake additional related duties and engage in special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Preferred:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
  • Two years of experience in acute care nursing
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
