Kustom US Inc is seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team in the Northwestern region, specifically in the Tacoma location. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for performing advanced techniques in various areas of construction trades, responding to emergency and non-emergency service jobs.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in light carpentry, framing, drywall, paint, trim, and all aspects of repair common with handyman work. They will also be able to provide direction to subcontractors, maintain clean and organized work areas, and interface with customers.
Responsibilities- Proficiency in light carpentry, framing, drywall, paint, trim, and all aspects of repair common with handyman work
- Prepare rooms/areas for work activities, including setting up staging areas, equipment, and content protection
- Ability to provide direction to subcontractors
- Maintain clean and organized work areas, including securely storing equipment and supplies while not in use
- Interface with customers and relay information to the Project Manager or Superintendent when appropriate
- Complete paperwork, upload documents, and provide job updates into the database as needed
- Complete punch list items with attention to detail
- Maintain equipment in clean and working condition
- Ensure the company vehicle is fully stocked at all times and travel to a nearby home improvement store to purchase needed items
- Monitor the safety, security, efficiency, and appearance of the company vehicle
- Monitor the safety, security, and appearance of job sites
- Assist with demolition and general cleanup as needed
- Minimum 3 years of experience in construction and/or restoration
- Hands-on experience in drywall, paint, trim, and light carpentry
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
- Understanding of major trades processes (mechanical, electrical, plumbing)
- Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness
- Willingness to be flexible based on business needs
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Thorough understanding of the correct and safe operation of all related tools and equipment
- Proficient use of computer technology
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and build relationships
