Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled School Psychologist to join our team at Soliant. As a key member of our educational services team, you will play a critical role in supporting the academic and social-emotional needs of students in our district.

Key Responsibilities
  • Comprehensive Assessments: Conduct thorough psychological assessments to evaluate students' cognitive abilities, academic skills, social-emotional functioning, and developmental levels.
  • Interpretation and Consultation: Interpret assessment results and provide insights to inform instructional planning, intervention strategies, and individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Collaboration and Consultation: Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other educational professionals to develop and implement effective interventions and behavior management strategies.
  • Counseling and Support: Provide counseling and support services to students individually or in group settings, addressing a wide range of social, emotional, and behavioral concerns.
  • Consultation and Partnership: Consult with parents, guardians, and external stakeholders to foster effective partnerships and support students' overall well-being and academic success.
  • Team Collaboration: Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, including 504 meetings and Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, and contribute expertise in addressing students' needs and goal-setting.
  • Professional Development: Stay current with research, best practices, and legal requirements related to school psychology and special education.
Qualifications
  • Education: Master's or doctoral degree in School Psychology.
  • Licensure: Valid license or certification as a School Psychologist.
  • Assessment and Intervention: Proficient in conducting psychoeducational assessments and interpreting assessment results.
  • Special Education Knowledge: Sound knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and procedures.
  • Behavioral Intervention: Strong understanding of various behavioral intervention strategies and positive behavior support systems.
  • Confidentiality and Ethics: Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical guidelines.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
