Position Summary:
As a Certified Nursing Aide (CNA), you will perform essential resident care tasks under the guidance of licensed nursing staff. Your role will involve creating a supportive physical and emotional environment for our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Deliver personal care services, including grooming, bathing, dressing, and oral hygiene, as needed.
2. Maintain cleanliness and organization in resident rooms, including changing bed linens and ensuring grooming supplies are stocked.
3. Assist residents with mobility and transfers, using appropriate equipment and techniques.
4. Monitor and document vital signs, weights, and other relevant health information as assigned.
5. Ensure residents are positioned comfortably and safely, turning them as necessary.
6. Observe residents for any changes in their condition and report findings to the Charge Nurse.
7. Contribute to the development of care plans by providing necessary data.
8. Facilitate hydration for residents at regular intervals based on individual needs.
Additionally, you will prepare residents for meals, ensuring accessibility and assistance as required, while accurately recording food intake and output. You will also maintain a comfortable environment by monitoring ventilation, temperature, and noise levels.
Qualifications:
1. Current Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the relevant state.
2. CPR certification is preferred but not mandatory.
3. High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
4. Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
5. Professional demeanor with a commitment to confidentiality.
6. Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and support organizational goals.
7. Customer service-oriented with the capacity to perform well under pressure.
