Position Overview

PeaceHealth is currently seeking a dedicated Rehabilitation Therapist for a Part-Time, 0.50 FTE, Day position. The compensation for this role is competitive, reflecting the qualifications and experience of the candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to develop tailored treatment plans and objectives based on comprehensive data collection, including patient records and collaborative input from healthcare team members.
  • Implement treatment strategies in accordance with established care plans, making necessary adjustments to meet evolving patient needs.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation that adheres to regulatory standards and professional guidelines.
  • Engage with other healthcare professionals to facilitate seamless patient care and act as a resource for education and problem-solving.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to new team members, including therapy assistants and students, fostering a collaborative learning environment.
  • Contribute to the development of innovative services and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain comprehensive clinical records and participate in student affiliation programs.
  • Assess patient eligibility for home care services and oversee the safety of therapy interventions.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in the field of Occupational Therapy.
  • Experience in home health settings is preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance are required.
  • Must possess a valid Occupational Therapist License in the State of Alaska.
  • Basic Life Support certification is required upon hire.
