Position Overview
PeaceHealth is currently seeking a dedicated Rehabilitation Therapist for a Part-Time, 0.50 FTE, Day position. The compensation for this role is competitive, reflecting the qualifications and experience of the candidate.
As a Rehabilitation Therapist, you will have the opportunity to work in a supportive environment that values the well-being of both patients and staff. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to develop tailored treatment plans and objectives based on comprehensive data collection, including patient records and collaborative input from healthcare team members.
- Implement treatment strategies in accordance with established care plans, making necessary adjustments to meet evolving patient needs.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation that adheres to regulatory standards and professional guidelines.
- Engage with other healthcare professionals to facilitate seamless patient care and act as a resource for education and problem-solving.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to new team members, including therapy assistants and students, fostering a collaborative learning environment.
- Contribute to the development of innovative services and quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain comprehensive clinical records and participate in student affiliation programs.
- Assess patient eligibility for home care services and oversee the safety of therapy interventions.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
- A minimum of one year of experience in the field of Occupational Therapy.
- Experience in home health settings is preferred.
- Valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance are required.
- Must possess a valid Occupational Therapist License in the State of Alaska.
- Basic Life Support certification is required upon hire.
