Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist PRN to join our team at Envision Radiology in Denton, TX. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for performing MRI procedures with precision and care, ensuring high-quality images for accurate diagnoses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interface with patients to gather medical history and provide clear instructions on procedures and exams.
  • Review patient charts for missed clinical information and screen patients for surgical implants, contrast allergies, and other relevant factors.
  • Obtain prior films and exams as needed, perform high-quality scans, and submit images to radiologists for interpretation.
  • Monitor patient care before, during, and after exams, notifying relevant parties of any changes in patient condition.
  • Transfer images to other locations as needed and coordinate scan protocols with radiologists.
  • Maintain and inspect equipment regularly, reporting any quality concerns or equipment failures.
  • Collaborate with lead technologists and center managers on departmental concerns.
Requirements
  • Two plus years' experience in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) - preferred
  • Ability to educate patients on procedures and provide clear instructions
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and a problem solver with strong communication skills
  • Ability to navigate multiple computer screens and browsers quickly and accurately
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced team environment and continuously meet company and customer expectations
Education and Certifications
  • Graduate of an accredited Registered Technologist program
  • Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) certification with Registry in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR) or current American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT)
  • Current license from state medical board (if applicable)
  • Current CPR certification
