Job Summary

Tenneco, a leading designer, manufacturer, and marketer of automotive products, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join its team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the consolidation, preparation, and reporting of external basis financial statements in accordance with US GAAP.

Key Responsibilities
  • Consolidation and Reporting: Prepare and review financial statements, including the income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement, to ensure accuracy and compliance with US GAAP.
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Coordinate with finance personnel globally to ensure timely completion of close-related activities.
  • Accounting and Analysis: Perform analytical review of operating results to ensure the accuracy of accounting records.
  • Journal Entries and Reconciliations: Prepare consolidating journal entries for actual results, forecasts, and budgets, and reconcile intercompany accounts, unconsolidated affiliates, and investment and equity accounts.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure adherence to all accounting policies and controls, and maintain compliance with SOX requirements.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance, Master's Degree in Accounting preferred, CPA preferred.
  • Experience: 3 years of work experience in public accounting and/or industry with progressive increase in responsibility.
  • Skills: Big 4 Public Accounting Firm experience, strong technical accounting background in US GAAP, strong understanding of consolidation and foreign currency accounting theory.
