Job Overview

Sorrel River Ranch, a premier luxury destination, is nestled along the picturesque Colorado River, surrounded by breathtaking landscapes.

With a rich history of over 15 years in the hospitality industry, we are seeking innovative Culinary professionals to elevate our dining offerings. Ideal candidates will possess the expertise to enhance our restaurants by showcasing our on-site agricultural initiatives and the diverse cultural influences of Southern Utah.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A strong commitment to collaborate with our on-site agricultural and livestock teams.
  • Extensive culinary background.
  • Experience in AAA or Forbes-rated service environments.
  • Background in rural resorts, ranches, or ski lodges.
  • A genuine passion for outdoor activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate basic kitchen equipment including stoves, ovens, and fryers.
  • Understand recipe measurements and portion control.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in upscale dining establishments.
  • Completion of a Culinary or Apprenticeship program is preferred.
  • Knowledge of food preparation fundamentals and cooking techniques.
  • Familiarity with sanitation standards.
  • Ability to maintain a fast pace while ensuring attention to detail and multitasking.
  • Demonstrate effective supervisory skills.
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and front-of-house personnel.
  • Exhibit strong time management capabilities.
  • Possess teaching and motivational skills.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to providing exceptional service.
  • Availability for flexible full-time hours, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Physical ability to stand or walk for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform various physical tasks.
  • Proficient in computer applications, including POS systems, Word, and Excel.
  • Maintain a professional appearance suitable for a fine dining environment.
  • Exhibit a positive service attitude and a willingness to exceed guest expectations.
  • Adaptability to meet the evolving needs of guests.
  • Maintain professionalism and effective communication.
  • Show enthusiasm for the role and the establishment.
  • Be considerate, patient, and supportive of colleagues.
  • Possess a strong self-image and earn the respect of peers.
