We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Technician to join our team at High Country Behavioral Health. As a Mental Health Technician, you will play a vital role in providing support and care to individuals with serious and persistent mental illness.

Job Summary:

Under the direction of the Group Home Case Manager, the Mental Health Technician will work closely with clients to provide them with the support and care they need on a daily basis. This includes assisting clients with daily care activities, documenting medication intake, and ensuring the physical safety and well-being of supervised clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist clients with daily care activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and eating.
  • Document medication intake and ensure clients are taking their medications as prescribed.
  • Assist with shopping and meal planning to ensure clients have access to healthy food options.
  • Provide transportation to appointments and community activities.
  • Monitor clients for any changes in behavior or medical conditions and report any concerns to medical staff.
  • Engage clients in therapeutic activities such as art, music, and exercise.
  • Help clients develop and maintain daily routines and schedules to promote stability and well-being.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations at all times.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Previous experience working with individuals in behavioral health preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and customer service in all interactions.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to establish rapport with clients.
  • Successful completion of HCBH pre-employment screening and background check.
