Our mission is to provide care that aligns with the needs and preferences of our patients. We are looking for a motivated and skilled individual to fill the role of Billing Team Member.
The Billing Team Member plays a crucial role within the Patient Resources Team, dedicated to fulfilling the mission of Maple City Health Care Center by ensuring that healthcare services are affordable for patients while maintaining the financial sustainability of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage patient accounts to optimize affordability and access to healthcare services.
- Enhance reimbursement processes from third-party payers.
- Engage in systems that promote efficient and quality billing practices.
- Perform additional tasks that support our collective objectives as assigned.
- This description is not exhaustive and may include other responsibilities as needed.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Excellent organizational abilities with a keen eye for detail.
- Adaptability to evolving demands and requirements.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.
- Self-driven with strong critical thinking skills.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is highly preferred.
- Exhibits strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Reasonable accommodations may be provided to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Preferred experience in medical billing.
- Associates degree or equivalent work experience is preferred.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer.
- Must be capable of lifting up to 15 pounds occasionally.
