Carr McClellan is seeking a seasoned attorney with a strong background in intellectual property law to join its team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of seven years' experience in prosecuting intellectual property matters and licensing intellectual property rights.

Key Responsibilities:

Negotiation and preparation of intellectual property related agreements, including licenses, assignments, security agreements, development agreements, consulting agreements, sales, distribution and supply agreements, reseller agreements, software and multimedia licenses, confidentiality agreements, inventor's rights agreements, and online application and database service provider agreements.

Intellectual Property Clearance and Protection:

Protection and enforcement of rights pertaining to trademarks, business names, domain names, copyrights, inventions, trade secrets, rights of publicity, and employer/employee proprietary rights. Screening and selection of trademarks and development of trademark protection strategies, including domestic and foreign registration of marks.

Intellectual Property Due Diligence:

Performing due diligence investigations on intellectual property assets.

The successful candidate will be able to work independently and take ownership of new responsibilities. They will also support the firm's other practice areas. The candidate must be a member or pending member of the California State Bar.
