Core Responsibilities:

- Plan and strategize driving routes in advance to ensure the most efficient travel.
- Safely load various types of machinery (such as Excavators and Loaders).
- Maintain precise logs of all trips and activities.
- Stay informed on traffic and weather updates to adapt to changing road conditions.
- Modify routes to circumvent heavy traffic or construction zones as necessary.
- Focus primarily on the safe and efficient transport of equipment to and from job sites.
- Ensure that all equipment is securely loaded and properly fastened.
- Report any incidents, injuries, or mechanical issues to management immediately.
- Possess a solid understanding of construction site safety protocols and road safety regulations.
- Be knowledgeable about DOT rules and regulations.
- Communicate effectively with Truck Dispatch, Foremen, and Supervisors.
- Maintain awareness of surroundings, identifying potential hazards such as overhead lines and obstacles upon entering job sites.
- Demonstrate reliability, cooperation, and respect towards others on the road and with both internal and external clients.
- Hold a valid Medical Examiner's Certificate.
- Maintain a clean driving record.
- Have familiarity with the Twin Cities and surrounding regions.
- Possess a Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
- Be expected to understand the BR Employee Handbook and Guidelines for Trucking Providers and Drivers.
All applicants must successfully complete a comprehensive Background Check, Physical Examination, and Drug Screening. References will also be verified.
