Molecular Biologist

Randstad is in search of a skilled Molecular Biologist to contribute to a high-throughput genotyping laboratory. In this role, you will collaborate with a dedicated team to achieve daily and weekly genotyping objectives. This position requires on-site presence.

Compensation: $24 - $28 per hour
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 AM - 4 PM
Education Requirement: Bachelor's degree

Key Responsibilities:
As the chosen candidate, your primary duties will include sample preparation, manual DNA extraction, and Infinium preparation for the Fingerprint Lab, as well as Library Preparation for SKIM sequencing. These tasks are essential to support our high-density genotyping platform. Additional responsibilities encompass shipping and receiving, managing supply inventory, and ensuring compliance with seed storage regulations.

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, or a related field.
  • Strong attention to detail, a solid work ethic, a sense of urgency, excellent communication abilities, and good organizational skills.
  • Experience in fast-paced environments, whether in laboratory settings or other fields such as retail or shipping, is advantageous.
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills, along with intermediate proficiency in Office Applications like Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook; advanced skills in Excel are preferred.
